"Invaluable workshop equipment; our BGA solder, de-solder, and re-ball equipment".

In recent years, particularly in the field of digital communications technology, IT-technology, and digital satellite or terrestrial receiver technology, there is a rising demand for ever increasing performance and ever smaller integrated circuitry to replace complete and extremely complex analogue circuitry.

So-called BGA's (Ball-Grid-Array) fulfil these requirements.

Due to their special design, BGA's cannot simply be replaced with a "normal" solder unit or Hot-Air-Jet. In fact, besides the relatively simple positioning, many very important procedures must be observed. For example, painstakingly precise observance of ESD (Electric-Static-Discharge) guidelines,
the exact adherence to temperature guidelines etc. provided by the chip manufacturer.

Many service complaints are caused by the use of cheap or incorrectly used BGA units.

Here too, handles in your interest, in the only correct way: The entire board is evenly heated. This way, a deformation of the board is impossible. No long-term faults arise, due to tension cracks caused by incorrect soldering techniques. All temperature guidelines are discussed with the manufacturer, for each individual unit, board or part.
